About Osteoscoop
Osteoscoop is an electronic journal, established in 2007, focusing on information in skeletal medicine. This service is made possible thanks to an educational grant from Servier.
To date, the Osteoscoop newsletter goes out weekly to well over 5000 subscribers in more than 100 countries around the world.
Osteoscoop is a free service for physicians involved in osteoporosis and rheumatology management. Osteoscoop is sent every week by e-mail to all subscribers wishing to update their knowledge in osteoporosis and rheumatology, from important contributions published recently in major international journals such as Nature, Science, Cell, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, the New England Journal of Medicine, Bone, Osteoporosis International, etc. Bone biology and physiology, diagnosis tools, epidemiology, and therapeutics are the main topics.
Each issue of Osteoscoop contains:
- a short analysis written in English dealing with current news and events in bone biology, osteoporosis and rheumatology,
- an attractive animated illustration related to the topic of the analysis and implementing a portfolio or a slide collection,
- an audio podcast (mp3) explaining the illustration.
Osteoscoop allows downloading of the issue in PDF, the illustration and the podcast. Osteoscoop is an interactive system also providing access to the previous issues and search by illustrations. Information from Osteoscoop can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connexion, at any time.
Osteoscoop has been made for you. It is yours. Your comments, questions and opinion are very welcome and will help us to improve this tool that we hope you will find useful and attractive.
